Detailed ability breakdowns
These signature abilities now fire in battle with their own damage and cooldowns — a bigger skill or ultimate hits harder, and the two healers restore HP instead of striking. Still on the way here on the site: the full per-ability breakdown (exact multipliers and effects), plus deeper mechanics like status effects and multi-target hits.
Lore
The Bear Warrior was thirteen the season he undertook the bear-bond — the Tribal Alliance forest-clans' rite in which a youth fasts seven nights at a known bear-trail and returns to the clan only if a bear acknowledges him. Most candidates return after two or three nights with no acknowledgment, which is its own kind of answer; some return after seven nights with an acknowledgment that fades as they age. The Bear Warrior is among the rare class for whom the acknowledgment did not fade. The bear that accepted him — a great brown the forest-clan interpreters call Korreth — has been seen at his side at three formal Alliance gatherings since, including the same boundary-stone meeting that the high-mountain sona-veth elder attends with the Storm Caller.
His combat-grant is not transformation in the literal sense — there is no fur, no shape-change — but his ranks-warning roar carries the same somatic weight as a bear's, and front ranks against him have been observed to lose two heartbeats of dress-line discipline at the moment of the roar. The Alliance combat-doctrine office has measured this twice with chronometers and recorded it twice as 'within margin,' which is the office's polite acknowledgment that the effect exists but cannot be formally counted as a magical grant. The Bear Warrior has not asked for the formal counting; the office has not offered it.
He is a fixture at the same boundary-stone meetings Tev (char_storm_caller) attends, and the two have an unstated understanding that the bear's presence at those meetings is not a security measure but a courtesy to the high-mountain clans, who consider the brown bear's acknowledgment of a forest-clan champion to be a thing worth honoring with attention. He has never visited the Solstice Empire's territory and has politely refused two trade-delegation invitations on the grounds that 'Korreth has not given an opinion, and Korreth does not give opinions on places he has not been.'
