New Player Guide
Meroveil is a collect-and-build squad RPG: summon heroes, assemble a five-strong team, and let auto-resolved battles play out. You don't twitch-fight — you out-build. Here's how to start strong.
The core loop
Pull from the banners to grow your roster.
Pick 5, set their formation, cover the elements.
Battles auto-resolve; win to earn gold, gems & XP.
Level, evolve and bond your core team.
Higher tiers, the Tower, Arena and raids.
Build your first squad
A squad is five heroes in two rows. The rule of thumb: tanks in front, damage and healing in back. The front line soaks hits and shields the back; your fragile carries deal more and stay safe as long as the wall holds.
Three things that win fights
1. Element advantage — match your attackers against what the enemy is weak to (a clean matchup is +30% damage). 2. Speed — faster heroes act more often, all game. 3. Formation — keep squishies in the back. Get these right and the auto-battler does the rest. See the combat guide for the full math.
Your first week
- Claim your welcome gift. Your inbox holds a one-time 3,000 gems + 50,000 gold starter — that's ten summons and a big head start.
- Finish the tutorial summon. It's a guaranteed legendary, Nyx Varela — a dependable mercenary attacker (120 ATK at 120 Speed) who anchors your early squad.
- Buy the 150-gem daily ticket every day. It's a half-price pull and the best repeatable spend you have.
- Clear campaign to node 1-10, then switch to World Tier 2 for 1.5× rewards. Sweep cleared nodes for easy gold and XP books.
- Bond your core squad. It's cheap, gives a permanent +9% to your best heroes, and refunds gems at milestones.
- Set an Arena defense and do a fight or two daily. The weekly season pays gems to your inbox just for ranking.
- If you'll play regularly, unlock the Premium Battle Pass — it returns far more gems than it costs over a season.
Don't waste your gems
Skip the energy refills in the shop — energy doesn't gate anything right now, so campaign is unlimited. Save gems for summons, the daily ticket, and the Battle Pass. See Economy & Best Buys for the full breakdown.
