Base stats
Level 1 base, and the Level 60 projection. Stats grow ~10% of base per level (HP/ATK/DEF); Speed does not scale with level, so a fast hero stays fast relative to the field all game.
Element matchups
Fire heroes resolve their type advantage like this:
Advantage is ×1.30, disadvantage ×0.75. See the full type chart →
Signature abilities
Detailed ability breakdowns
These signature abilities now fire in battle with their own damage and cooldowns — a bigger skill or ultimate hits harder, and the two healers restore HP instead of striking. Still on the way here on the site: the full per-ability breakdown (exact multipliers and effects), plus deeper mechanics like status effects and multi-target hits.
Lore
The Demolitionist served eleven years in the Solstice Empire's regular sapper corps under the work-name Corporal Brevin Halt before mustering out — not for cause and not for retirement, but on a discharge category the corps records simply as 'pay-grade dispute.' The Empire's quartermaster records show the dispute was about hazard-bonus assignment for charges set under inhabited buildings; the Empire has not formally contested Brevin's reading of the regulation, and Brevin has not formally contested his discharge. The Crimson Hand picked him up within four months on a southern-bureau contract that paid him for the same work at three times the regular rate, and he has been on the bureau's rolls eight years.
His combat-grant is the field-corps powder discipline, applied without the regular corps' map-aligned placement constraint. He plants charges where the demolition would do the work, not where the map says the demolition is permitted; the charges tend to land in places the map says are structurally unimportant and that turn out, in retrospect, to have been load-bearing. The Crimson Hand's bureau-master has noted in writing that this is an 'irregular but operationally indispensable' approach — the same phrase the bureau-master used about Auvane (char_bounty_hunter), which the bureau-master has not commented on but the southern bureau's clerks have noticed.
He is on speaking terms with Auvane and on professional respect terms with Renzo Callix (char_renzo_callix); he does not work with Solenne Drax (char_solenne_drax) on the grounds that Solenne's ship-handling is a different domain and that the southern bureau has not asked them to overlap. He has not been re-approached by the Solstice Empire, which the bureau-master considers an oversight on the Empire's part. He has marked, in a private notebook the Hand has not asked to see, the structural plans of seven Solstice border-outposts; he has indicated to the bureau-master that the notebook exists. The bureau-master has indicated by silence that the notebook is acceptable.
