Base stats
Level 1 base, and the Level 60 projection. Stats grow ~10% of base per level (HP/ATK/DEF); Speed does not scale with level, so a fast hero stays fast relative to the field all game.

Signature abilities
Detailed ability breakdowns
These signature abilities now fire in battle with their own damage and cooldowns — a bigger skill or ultimate hits harder, and the two healers restore HP instead of striking. Still on the way here on the site: the full per-ability breakdown (exact multipliers and effects), plus deeper mechanics like status effects and multi-target hits.
Lore
The Hazard Mage was an Arcane Syndicate licensed glyph-smith for nine years before the Syndicate's apprentice-board formally blacklisted them; the proximate cause was a single test-piece — a four-glyph hazard array the board described in the blacklist file as 'capable of consequences the school cannot enumerate' — and the formal grounds were that they had built it on an off-hours workshop bench without the dual-witness that all hazard-class glyph work requires. Their name on the blacklist file is Aldric Malen; they answer to it, in private. The Cult, which has no apprentice-board and no dual-witness rule, picked them up within six weeks. They have been on the Cult's southern enclave roll for seven years.
Their combat-grant is the slow-form glyph: they paint a hazard-array onto a section of ground over the course of an engagement, and the section becomes a thing one should not cross. The technical difference between their work and the Syndicate's hazard-class is that their arrays continue to operate after the glyph-painter leaves the field, sometimes for days, sometimes longer; the Syndicate's apprentice-board considered this 'consequences the school cannot enumerate,' and they were correct. Three of the four arrays they laid in the past two campaigns are still operative as of the most recent Cult survey, which the Cult considers a feature and which the survey-keeper notes without comment.
They are on practitioner-respect terms with Thalia Crowe (char_thalia_crowe) and the Void Oracle (char_void_oracle), who both consider their slow-form work compatible with their own slow-effect philosophies. They have not been visited by the Solstice Empire's purge-routes — the routes Devren Korr (char_court_mage) has not yet learned exist (per the Oracle's mapping) include the southern enclave where Aldric works, and the Oracle has not relayed this gap to them. They have not asked. The Cult-mother of their enclave has indicated that the gap will not be relayed unless the gap closes, which she does not expect to happen this campaign.
