Detailed ability breakdowns
These signature abilities now fire in battle with their own damage and cooldowns — a bigger skill or ultimate hits harder, and the two healers restore HP instead of striking. Still on the way here on the site: the full per-ability breakdown (exact multipliers and effects), plus deeper mechanics like status effects and multi-target hits.
Lore
Elara Wynter is the most famous mage the Arcane Syndicate has, and roughly half of that fame is for magic. A natural frost prodigy plucked out of a mountain village at eight, she made Tier-Five before she was sixteen and then did the thing no prodigy before her had thought to do with the achievement: she made it look incredible. Elara understood, instinctively and early, that a perfect spell cast where no one is watching is just homework — and so she casts where everyone is watching, in sweeping, photogenic displays of blue-white frost that have made her face the one the Syndicate puts on its recruitment bills and her name the one that fills the demonstration halls.
The Syndicate's old guard finds her exhausting and cannot argue with the results. Enrollment is up wherever she appears. The donations follow her like weather. And underneath the showmanship the frost-work is genuinely, almost rudely excellent — her signature flash-freeze cascades are precise enough to be used as teaching examples by the very instructors who roll their eyes at her, and in an actual fight the glamour falls away to reveal a finisher who closes engagements in a single brilliant, freezing arc and then, yes, checks that the light caught it. She is vain in the specific way of someone who has been told her whole life that the vanity is unearned and has decided, out of spite as much as anything, to earn it relentlessly.
What surprises people who get past the sparkle is that she is not cruel, only busy — generous with the younger frost-students, ferocious about credit, and quietly, genuinely devoted to the craft beneath the spectacle. She would tell you, with a flawless smile, that there is no contradiction between being the best and being seen being the best, and that anyone who thinks otherwise is simply bad at being seen. The unnerving part, for her critics, is the growing pile of evidence that she might be right.
