Base stats
Level 1 base, and the Level 60 projection. Stats grow ~10% of base per level (HP/ATK/DEF); Speed does not scale with level, so a fast hero stays fast relative to the field all game.
Element matchups
Water heroes resolve their type advantage like this:
Advantage is ×1.30, disadvantage ×0.75. See the full type chart →
Signature abilities
Detailed ability breakdowns
These signature abilities now fire in battle with their own damage and cooldowns — a bigger skill or ultimate hits harder, and the two healers restore HP instead of striking. Still on the way here on the site: the full per-ability breakdown (exact multipliers and effects), plus deeper mechanics like status effects and multi-target hits.
Note: in the current build, dedicated healing comes from Kingdom Medic and Cleric of Sol. Other support heroes contribute through their stats and element in the squad.
Lore
The Vine Shaman is on the Tribal Alliance river-clan rolls under the recognized title vor-ethu, 'one who keeps the slow garden,' a title the river-clans give to growth-shamans whose practice has stabilized into a recognizable pattern of slow-form magic. The current bearer in the Tribal Alliance's southern river-bend country is Elder Sirenne Tal, age thirty-six, river-clan-born and trained in the river-clans' growth-school for sixteen years. Her practice is the kethrun school, distinct from the high-mountain sona-veth earth-school and the kheth-vora sky-listener tradition (Tev's school), but the three schools are formally classed by the Alliance combat-doctrine office under the heading 'slow-form practitioners,' a class the office considers operationally similar even though the practitioners themselves consider the schools distinct.
Her combat-grant is the green-cage form: she initiates a vine-growth working at engagement-open and the working continues to grow over the duration of the engagement, producing a lattice that does not fall enemies but does deny them the engagement-area their formation-doctrine requires. Sirenne does not stop the growth on her own signal; the working continues until the lattice is complete or the engagement closes, whichever happens first. The working has completed (i.e., produced a closed lattice the engagement-area was entirely enclosed by) three times in eight years; the river-clans consider these three engagements doctrinally instructive and have not formally taught what the lessons are.
She is on slow-magic peer-patience terms with Mira (char_forest_sprite) — Mira's tradition is not slow but Sirenne extends the courtesy of treating Mira as a peer, and Mira has accepted — and is in respectful contact with the high-mountain and plains elders, Tev (char_storm_caller) through the boundary-stones meetings, although Sirenne has not yet been invited to attend one. The river-clans have noted that this is unusual; the high-mountain clans have not commented; the boundary-stones cluster has not yet acted. Sirenne has not asked, on the grounds that 'the slow garden does not ask for the meeting; the slow garden waits for the meeting to ask.'
